All About Kia Motors

Kia Motors is South Korea's second-largest auto company, following Hyundai. The company is currently minority owned by Hyundai Motors, but Kia is also a minority owner in Hyundai. Because of this, the two Korean vehicle manufacturers are closely connected.

The History Of Kia

Kia was founded in 1944 under the name Kyungsung Precision Industry. The company changed its name to Kia Industries in 1952. During the company's early days, they primarily sold Honda-licensed motorcycles. They also built Mazda licensed trucks and cars. They began producing their own cars in the 1980s, forging partnerships with other vehicle manufacturers like Ford. In the 90s, they began to sell their vehicles in the United States.

In the late 90s, when Asia was dealing with a financial crisis, Kia declared bankruptcy. Thankfully, the company was able to bounce back from this. Kia began to focus on the European market in 2005 and has found great success there.

Kia's Design Philosophy

Kia is focused on futuristic designs that still fit in with the current landscape. They have described their philosophy as "core future growth engine." One of Kia's goals is to create designs that can be recognized from a distance. When people see their cars on the road, they'll know that they are looking at a Kia.

Kia's design philosophy has changed over time. In 2005, they hired Tom Kearns, who had worked for Cadillac and Audi, as their chief design officer. Kearns had a big influence on the look of Kia cars and is responsible for the aesthetic that Kia vehicles have today.

Kia's Sport Sponsorships

Kia sponsors a number of sports organizations, including the League of Legends European Championship and the National Basketball Association. They also sponsor numerous sporting events, such as the Archery World Cup and the FIBA Asia Championship.

In addition to these large scale sponsorships, they have smaller sponsorship deals with both teams and athletes. Teams they sponsor include the Atlanta Falcons and the Canterbury Bulldogs. Some of the athletes sponsored by Kia include LeBron James, Manny Pacquiao, and Adelina Sotnikova. Kia has also struck marketing deals with actors and singers.

Kia plays a significant role in the automotive world. Their vehicles are sold all over the world, and many of the cars that they produce are extremely popular. Although Kia has struggled in the past, the company is currently seeing huge profits. The company is poised to grow even more in the future.
