The creation of this fourth generation Ford Focus has had its ups and downs, but the ever-popular family hatchback has hit markets in the UK. Could there be a Ford in your future?
Ford are one of the most popular and reliable car manufacturers on the market today and bosses of the company are hoping that this new instalment of the popular Focus range will build upon two decades of driver satisfaction. However, instead of just releasing overhauled improvements to the current model, Ford have taken the chance to redesign an all new platform and have created this new model with more customer feedback than ever. The new Focus will be the most rewarding family hatchback on the market for both drivers and passengers, at least, that’s the companies plan.
The Focus is the first “Blue Oval” model to be based on the company’s new C2 platform. According to Ford, this has played a crucial role in ensuring the Focus lives up to its ‘fun to drive’ promise to customers. The platform sharing could ensure that the architecture and design will be done to the highest of standards, meaning we could be about to embark on another golden era for Ford. An era where driver satisfaction is at the centre of everything Ford create.
In terms of size, the 2019 Ford Focus fits comfortably in between the smaller Ford Fiesta and the larger Ford Mondeo, it maintains practicality whilst also providing enough size to preserve your position on the 4x4 dominated roads. This modern family hatchback is provided in many different iterations but the most popular will be the 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. This available in up to three power outputs 85, 100 and 120hp so this array of power provides plenty of choice for all types of customer.
To measure up to its competitors in the family hatchback world such as the Volkswagen Golf, Ford has focused (no pun intended) on simplifying its interior and have created a clutter free modern central hub for all your driving requirements. The floating touchscreen front and centre in the car offers Apple Car Play and Android connectivity, combined with the collective 10 speakers and a subwoofer situated inside the boot allow the driver to have the most enhanced music experience whilst driving their car. Not only have Ford simplified their interior, they have also manged to create more space by getting rid of unwanted accessories, there is an increase of up to 2.5 inches of leg room ensuring that passengers have enough space to enjoy their journey.
Overall this new generation of Ford Focus could propel the company back into the limelight and once again become the go to hatchback for all styles of customer. The classy interior maintains the high level that its predecessors built their name on and the new C2 creation platform should ensure that all new models of Ford will be customer based and reliable.
