Commercial Assistant

Britannia Car Leasing has been supplying car leasing to both consumers and businesses for over 20 years. Due to the volume of vehicles, Britannia are able to negotiate exclusive stock deals with the biggest suppliers in the business, therefore differentiating themselves from most of the providers in the market.

As the Commercial Assistant you will support the Marketing Manager with a wide range of duties to ensure the company remains competitive and is first to market with the latest car leasing offers.

You must be a proactive and analytic individual who can work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to think on your feet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with car dealerships and funders (by phone, Zoom, etc.)
  • Assist Commercial Director in partnering funders and suppliers to maximise profit opportunities.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with suppliers.
  • Run quotations using funder portals, identifying competitive deals on a wide range of products across all manufacturers and prepare quotations.
  • Populate the website with leasing offers and manage the latest special offers.
  • Liaise with dealer partners to check stock for own/funder specials.
  • Communicate effectively about stock availability and special deals with key internal stakeholders (Sales team, and Marketing team).
  • Perform pricing analysis to understand where we achieve the best results.
  • Review competitor websites/marketing campaigns to identify new deals/offers.
  • Analyse financial impact of monthly rentals to overall profitability by vehicle type.
  • Maintain and regularly update pricing history database.
  • Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Enjoys working with numbers.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers.
  • Planning/organisational skills & the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • An interest in cars is always desirable.
